Cedergren Renovations LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates cedergrenrenovations.com. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it, which service providers process it, and what choices you have.

When you submit our project screening form or otherwise contact us by email, phone, or text, we may collect:

  • Name, telephone number, and email address
  • City or ZIP code, and an optional street address
  • Approximate property age
  • Customer type (homeowner, contractor, property manager, or other)
  • Project type, project description, and desired timing
  • Referral source (how you heard about us)
  • Whether project photographs are available
  • Painted-surface information (for lead-safe screening)
  • Structural or framing information
  • Door and window rough-opening information
  • Foundation, footing, excavation, roofing, siding, and gutter information for exterior projects
  • Other trades involved in the overall project
  • For contractor and trade customers: company name, license or registration number, project scope, and scheduling information
  • Your consent to be contacted about the request
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide through email, telephone, text, or our forms

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, bank-account information, payment-card numbers, passwords, medical information, or other highly sensitive information through our website, email, or forms. We do not need this information to screen or price a carpentry project, and we are not equipped to securely store it.

Information Collected Automatically

This website is hosted by Vercel, which may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, requested pages, and timestamps. We currently use:

  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-1ETPCMSN9C)
  • Vercel Web Analytics

These tools collect aggregated usage information such as page views, device and browser characteristics, approximate area (city/region level), referring pages, on-page interactions, and general performance information. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to support this. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using a browser extension such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on, or through your browser's cookie and tracking-protection settings.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to inquiries
  • Screen project suitability
  • Request photographs or measurements
  • Prepare estimates and agreements
  • Schedule and administer projects
  • Communicate by phone, text, or email
  • Coordinate with licensed contractors or trades when appropriate
  • Maintain tax, insurance, safety, compliance, warranty, and project records
  • Operate and secure the website
  • Analyze general website traffic
  • Prevent spam, fraud, and misuse
  • Meet legal obligations
  • Protect customers, workers, the business, and others

Consent given through our project-screening form is used only for communication about the submitted request or the resulting project. Website-form information is not currently used for unrelated automated marketing text messages.

Service Providers and Disclosures

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate our business and this website:

  • Vercel - hosting, security, website delivery, and web analytics
  • Resend - transactional delivery of project-screening form submissions to our inbox
  • Google Analytics - website usage measurement
  • Google Workspace - business email and records
  • Professional advisers, insurers, accountants, attorneys, software providers, contractors, or trades, when reasonably necessary to administer a project or our business

We may also disclose information when legally required, when needed for an insurance matter, when needed to investigate fraud, when needed to protect the safety of any person, or when needed to enforce or defend our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use website-form information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data Retention

  • General inquiries that do not become projects are normally kept for up to two years after the last meaningful communication.
  • Estimates, agreements, change orders, invoices, payment records, project photographs, completion records, warranty records, and project communications are normally retained for at least seven years after completion or final payment.
  • Registration, licensing, insurance, tax, contractor, and compliance records may be retained for the legally required or reasonably necessary period.
  • Analytics retention is controlled in part by Google Analytics and Vercel account settings.
  • Information may be deleted, anonymized, or securely destroyed when it is no longer reasonably needed.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect information, including restricted access, strong passwords, multifactor authentication, secure cloud services, regular updates, backups, and sharing information only with those who need it. No website, email service, or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Requests

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may retain certain records where necessary for contracts, taxes, insurance, safety, fraud prevention, warranties, disputes, legal compliance, or to protect the rights of others. Our website may link to third-party services. Those services control their own privacy and security practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for adult homeowners, contractors, property managers, and organizations, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
